Grain Valley, MO-The Owner-Operator Independent Driver's Association (OOIDA) has appointed John Liebnitz as Media Relations Coordinator.

Before joining OOIDA, Liebnitz worked as Director of Public Affairs for the Jackson County Prosecutor's Office in Kansas City, MO.

Prior to that, he was a news producer and assignment desk editor for KCTV 5, the CBS affiliate in Kansas City, MO.

Liebnitz also has worked as a reporter with The Kansas City Star and as an advertising account executive and copywriter for KCIY-FM in Kansas City, MO.

Liebnitz earned a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1989 and a master's in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1995.
