5/14/09-Gov. Brad Henry signed into law a bill that is intended to increase safety on Oklahoma highways.
Previously HB1368, the new law allows law enforcement to crack down on slowpokes who clog traffic by driving in the left lanes of multilane roadways. It takes effect Nov. 1.

4/24/09-The Senate unanimously approved a bill that would prohibit motorists from driving for extended periods of time in the passing lane. The vote cleared the way for the bill – HB1368 – to advance to Gov. Brad Henry’s desk. House lawmakers previously approved it by an 87-10 vote.
Exceptions would be made for traffic conditions, flow or road configuration.
