7/14/08-A new law limits the parking of commercial vehicles in excess of five tons on any state roadways in the city of East Providence to two hours.
Previously HB7050, the new law took effect without the signature of Gov. Donald Carcieri. It requires signs to be posted to notify truck drivers about the rule.
Violators would face fines of $50. Subsequent offenses would result in fines up to $100.
