7/25/08-A bill in the Assembly Transportation Committee is intended to reduce distractions for young drivers. The Senate already approved it.
Sponsored by Sen. Martin Golden, R-Brooklyn, S8332 would prohibit teens under 18 from the use of any hand-held electronic device while driving. GPS navigation systems are included in the ban.
