6/4/08-Gov. Haley Barbour has signed a bill into law that tweaks rules in the state for partnering with private groups to build toll roads.
Approved during a special session, HB3 is intended to speed up the process of getting a toll route built between the Jackson airport and the capital city’s downtown.
The revised law also specifies that speed limits on toll roads cannot exceed 80 mph.
