7/25/08-The Senate unanimously approved a bill that would use $2.98 billion to fix “structurally deficient” bridges during the next eight years. It now moves back to the House for approval of changes.
Under H4972, the work would be financed with $1.1 billion in expected future federal transportation funds and $1.9 billion in state fuel tax revenue.

7/23/08-The House unanimously approved a bill that would use $2.98 billion to fix “structurally deficient” bridges during the next eight years. It now moves to the Senate.
The work would be financed with $1.1 billion in expected future federal transportation funds and $1.9 billion in state fuel tax revenue.
H4972 has moved to the Senate Ways and Means Committee. Time is running out on getting the measure through the statehouse before the end of the formal legislative session on July 31. After that, a single “no” vote from a lawmaker can kill a bill.
